InfoComm University returns to ISE in 2013

Choice of 25 education sessions to suit wide range of delegate needs

FAIRFAX, Virginia, United States of America – November 22, 2012 –  InfoComm International® brings its renowned InfoComm University education courses back to Amsterdam next January, as part of ISE 2013’s Education Zone.

Run jointly with CEDIA, the Education Zone will be centrally and conveniently located, as in 2012, in the Elicium Building, with sessions taking place in a suite of rooms above Hall 12 of ISE 2013.

The 25 sessions available from 29-31 January 2013 cover a wide range of delegate needs, with topics ranging from an Update on HDBaseT to AV System Performance Verification and – reflecting the growing importance of professional audio at ISE – Setting Audio Gain.

The program is the result of a Call For Presenters that InfoComm issued in June of this year, which drew a record response from the industry. A selection of submissions from stakeholder groups such as manufacturers, consultants and distributors was chosen and then combined with sessions led by InfoComm’s own staff or board members.

“The response to our ISE Call For Presenters was the biggest we’ve ever had,” reveals Scott Wills, CTS-D, CTS-I, InfoComm’s Director of International Education and Member Services. “In fact, it was so great that we were only able to select the top one-third of submissions for inclusion in the ISE 2013 program.”

Wills believes it is important to note that the final shape of each year’s InfoComm University program at ISE is determined not by InfoComm staff, but by a European Advisory Group comprising 14 of the AV industry’s leading subject matter experts.

“These volunteers make a huge difference to the relevance and credibility of the program,” enthuses Wills. “The Group has members from the UK, Germany, Switzerland, Spain and the Czech Republic to mention only a few, and these individuals perform a number of different industry roles, making it a very diverse and interesting panel to work with.

“We thank these volunteers for their service and commitment to education and improving our industry, and believe that their input will produce the most insightful selection of education sessions we have ever provided at ISE.”

ISE attendees will save 20% on education pricing if they book sessions in advance rather than on-site, with prices ranging from EUR 85 to EUR 125. InfoComm members receive a substantial further discount.
